Friendship Hotel Changes Hands, 1906

Banker House, Friendship Wisconsin. This house, formerly the American, has recently changed proprietors, been re-fitted and re-furnished throughout, and is now opened for the accomodation of the public. Courteous and obliging assistants always in attendance. Source: advertisement in the May 20, 1871 Adams County Press, Page 4. From page 3 of the May 13, 1871 Press we learn the owner's name: "Mr. Elias Banker is making preparations to put very extensive carriage and wagon sheds adjoining the Banker House barn.

Crosby House, Friendship, Wisc. This house is the most conveniently located to all county offices, and has been recently refitted and refurnished throughout. Peck's Hotel, Baraboo, Wisconsin. E. T. Peck, proprietor. This house is newly arranged with all the requisites of a modern, first class hotel. Mr. peck has had almost a life-long experience in this business, he knows how and will supply the wants of the traveler ina courteous manner. Good barns and stabling for stock. Wright's Hotel, Friendship Wisconsin. W. M. Wright, proprietor. This well known and popular house, still continues open for the accomodation of the public. Attentive help always at hand. Source: advertisement in the June 8, 1872 Adams County Press, Page 3. The Advertisement in the Adams County Press, July 13, 1878 issue states "Wright's Hotel, Friendship, Wisc., W.M. Wright and W.R. Atcherson, Proprietors. This hotel is conveniently located in the business part of the village. Every attention given to secure the comfort of guests. Attentive and obliging hostler at the barn. Stages to and from Kilbourn City leave and arrive at this house daily. The proprietors are agents for all stage lines leading south."
