WISCONSIN RAPIDS DAILY TRIBUNE, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 1954 Rites Wednesday for Walter Hendricksen Surnames mentioned: Ellis, Hendricksen (Henriksen), Jacobson, Jensen, Johnson, Koenecke, Jensen, Steen, Weylandt, Worshauer FRIENDSHIP--Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Arkdale Lutheran Church for Walter Hendricksen, 88, Strongs Prairie, who died Monday at his home after being in poor health for some time. The Rev. J. T. Jacobson is to officiate and burial will take place in the Hendricksen Cemetery at Arkdale. Mr. Hendricksen was born in Denmark on Dec. 30, 1865, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hendricksen. He came to the United States as a boy and settled on a farm in the town of Strongs Prairie. He was married March 12, 1890, to Mrs. Anna S. Johnson, who died in April, 1949. One son, George [Johnson], preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, William, Arkdale; six daughters, Mrs. Herbert Koenecke, Mrs. Hannah Jensen and Mrs. Althea Johnson, all of Arkdale; Mrs. Marie Steen, Delavan; Mrs. Ida Ellis, Racine, and Mrs. Esther Worshauer, Milwaukee; two brothers, Ramsey, Iowa, and Harvey, Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Christina Weylandt, California; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hendricksen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Arkdale, and served as Adams County supervisor at one time.
