This page contains a list of people willing to do lookups for others. At the bottom is a list of those who have graciously contributed files or information to these pages.
For this site to continue to change and grow, I need you, the family researcher, to help. You can help by posting your Adams county ancestor obituaries, queries, births, deaths, etc., submitting area photos, typing obits, or by referring helpful sites. If you have information about Adams County, such as old plat maps, cemetery records, city or county directories, church records and church histories, or can do look-ups of obituaries or census records, please contact Joan so your name can be listed here as a contributor or look-up volunteer.
Thought for the Day
Please remember to send a note of Thanks and encouragement to those who have donated helpful information or a look-up...this site is growing rapidly because of volunteers like these:
J T Elderkin has volunteered to do Adams Co. census look-ups for 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 and has indexes for 1850 and 1860. If you can specify a township for 1870 or 1880 look-ups, that would be appreciated. April 2001.
Jackie Cairns will do 1900 and 1920 Adams County Wisconsin census look-ups. March 2001
Dan Shurtliff will do lookups in his photocopies from the Big Flats Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church records. The title of the records: Kirkebagen for Dansk Ev. Luthernsk Menighed i Big Flats, Adams County Wisconsin." (Church Book for Danish Ev. Lutheran Congregation in Big Flats, Wisconsin). This is a copybook with numerous notations and ways of entering data. Some are narrative, others are in a ledger format. Some of the handwriting is good, others are atrotious. I copied the Christening, Confirmation, marriage and burial records, and Pastors list. that were in this book. I did not copy the Anniversaries, or communion lists (except for the first communion, in January 1875), or the church service lists.

His little, nameless, unremembered acts
Of kindness and of love."
