Where in Wisconsin did the family live? : Buffalo City and Fountain City, Buffalo County, WI
Comments: Johan Martin & Franzisca Von Ruehden Schulte emigrated in 1850 from Oesdorf, Westfalen, Prussia to Grant Co., WI with their two children, Anton & Martin. Both sons enlisted in the Union Army, Co. F, 17th Wis. Vol. Inf in 1861; Anton as a Corporal, and Martin as a 2nd Lieutenant. Martin was wounded at the Battle of Vicksburg. Surname : Atkins
|
Where in Wisconsin did the family live? : Dane and Adams
Comments: I am searching for information regarding Horace Atkins and his descendants. Other names associated were his wife Lucy Ann Babcock, Dickinson, Hutchinson.
I know his daughter Lavina Atkins married a JS Dickinson and died in childbirth. I have no other information on Dickinson at all. Many of the family are buried in Gould cemetery. I am seeking information on Horace Atkins father and mother. I have little information except possible names Samuel Atkins and Sally Barnes. Not sure they are correct as the names don't seem to fit the movement of the family. In a census, living with Horace Atkins brother Jacob, was a woman b. about 1780, so I'm hoping there is a reference elsewhere with her name.
Thank you

Surname : Fedie
|
Where in Wisconsin did the family live? : Pepin County, Dunn County
Alternate spellings of surname: : Fidi
Comments: I'm adding the name "Fedie", also spelled as "Fidi" in old records. My Fedie relatives are primarily from Dunn and Pepin Counties, although there are likely Fedies all over the state of Wisconsin. The Fedies originally came from Austria in the 19th century and a great many of them settled around the area of Durand Wisconsin.
