Great Lakes Marine & Shipping
Wisconsin's East Coast
Shipping, fishing and marine related industries are important to Wisconsin history. In the early years, Wisconsin was the primary link between the St. Lawrence Seaway and Great Lakes and the Mississippi River. Many people and goods traveled through the ports along the east coast of Wisconsin.
